Big Election Results in Maryland
Some Marylanders voted to elect Wes Moore, the first African American Governor in the state's history, and Aruna Miller, the first South Asian Woman to become Lt. Governor in the U.S. Likewise, Angela Alsobrooks is the first African American woman to be the County Executive of Prince George's County. Here is his campaign promises:
Other historic firsts: Anthony Brown became the first Black Attorney General in Maryland, and Brooke Lierman became the first woman Maryland comptroller of the state.
Prince George's County Elected Board Members
Patch.com has some results for the Prince George's County Board of Education. According to Patch, Brandon Jackson (district 6), Jonathan Briggs (district 2), Pamela Boozer-Strother (District 3), and Lolita Walker (District 9) won their districts.

On November 14 - Veterans Day Observance at Hyattsville Branch Library 6530 Adelphi Road. List of things that will happen:
1 pm: Reflections Ceremony
1:30 pm: Luncheon
2:00 pm: Info Session with Prince George's County Veterans Affairs.
Nov. 11 - Gov. Larry Hogan, according to Patch. com will rededicate the Peace Cross Memorial Bladensburg, Maryland at 11 a.m.

Loudoun County Community Veterans Engagement Board
November 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The meeting is open to any community organization working on behalf of Loudoun County veterans and all Loudoun County individual residents who have an interest in the welfare of Loudoun County veterans, active duty members and their family members.
We request that organizations wishing to become members of the Loudoun County CVEB complete this linked membership form which includes an expression of interest and a brief explanation of their veteran related activities to the LCCVEB at lccveb@gmail.com.
This meeting will be in person (TBA), however there will be a virtual option as well!
