Honoring Life. Gathering To Hear - Issue #6
Honoring Life
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how P.G. County should mourn the deaths of those who have died during this pandemic. However, I had no idea that artist Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg would honor the 670,000 people who died during the pandemic by placing a white flag, representing each life, in the ground near The National Mall. About 10,011 of those white flags represent deceased Marylanders, and, according to P.G. County's latest data, 5,866 represent Prince George's County residents.
